However I did do something vaguely sporty today, to counter the excesses of last night. I saw Irene van Dyck! She is one tall mama.

I have no idea who Irene Van Dyck is but I'm sorry you are hungover or something else. I hope you feel better soon (tip: lay off the wine for a while!).
Did she swear like a trouper? I heard she can. She can look pretty mean on that netball court.
